Tip of the Day 3/30/12

Throughout the winter our cars accumulate a lot of dirt and grime inside as well as outside. A good Spring Cleaning action is to clean your car. Dust, vacuum, scrub spills off seats, clean the steering wheel and door handles, empty the trash stuffed into cubbies and other compartments, add an air freshener if needed. Once the car is completely cleaned add items that you would like ready access to for the warm weather. Because we live near the beach and I never know when I might need to go sit on the beach at the last minute, I keep beach chairs, towels, flipflops, and sunscreen in the hatch. I am always prepared to relax. Whatever your frequent activities are consider a storage bag of the needed items to be able to have fun on the spur of the moment. It will make summer even more fun.
Word for Today, Meditate: There are times in life we need to take a step back from the craziness and business and set aside time to specifically talk to and hear from the Lord. But each day as we read His Word do we meditate on it as we are told to? Throughout the day we should be thinking about, meditating on, what we have heard from the Lord that day. The purpose of the scripture is many fold, and one of it's purposes is how to go through each day. If we do not meditate on what we hear it serves no real purpose other than being able to say, "I read my Bible every day." I would rather someone only read it once a week, but spend time meditating on it and applying it in their life. "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night."
