What songs set your summertime state of mind?

Word for Today, Wait: From the time we are born we are waiting for something. We wait to be old enough for kindergarten, a drivers license, to vote. Then as adults we wait for the right person to marry, the right job, the right time to buy a house or have children. We wait for the next holiday, or pay day, or a promotion. It is so easy to spend so much of our time looking toward something that we miss living today. In the Bible we are told over and over to wait, but the waiting is always for the good in our lives. At the same time we are told to be busy. Not to miss any opportunity to live, to do good, to tell others of the great joy of living a life for Christ. The lesson we learn from this is that waiting does not mean sitting and doing nothing. When the children of Israel were crossing the Jordan river to enter the Promise Land they had to wait for God to provide the way. In order for Him to provide the way they had to step into the water. Wait on the Lord and step into the water by faith to see what great things He will do. "Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us."
